Featuring solid pneumatic tires, sit-down Fortis(TM) Series H40-70FT matches engine with proper transmission for specific applications. Solid-state magnetic Hall Effect sensors have no mechanical connection and are fully sealed from environment, while IP66-sealed wiring connectors used throughout truck keep water and other contaminants from entering system. Electro-hydraulic controls are integrated into seat and armrest to minimize operator fatigue.
(Greenville, N.C. - Americas Division Headquarters) - Hyster Company announces the newest addition to the Fortis(TM) line of lift trucks. The sit-down, counterbalanced IC, solid pneumatic tire Fortis H40-70FT offers low cost of operations while exceeding the industry's highest standards for dependability, productivity and ergonomics. With capacities ranging from 4,000 to 7,000 pounds (1,814 to 3,175 kg), this new series of lift trucks reduces operating costs by matching the right engine with the proper transmission for specific application needs, in addition to other enhancements. Multi-tiered engine-transmission configurations create efficient powertrains, which offer greater fuel efficiencies and best in class productivity.
The increased dependability of the H40-70FT Fortis line of lift trucks comes in part from the redesigned hydraulic system. Simplified hydraulic componentry and routing away from heat sources such as the engine reduces the number of potential leak points. The electrical systems have also been upgraded for improved reliability. The use of solid-state magnetic Hall Effect sensors, designed for the rigorous standards of the aerospace industry are magnetically operated, have no mechanical connection and are fully sealed from the environment, while IP66 sealed wiring connectors used throughout the truck keep water and other contaminants from entering the system.
Several optional features for the H40-70FT Fortis line of lift trucks provide even higher productivity levels. Electro-hydraulic controls are integrated into the seat armrest to reduce driver fatigue, increase driver comfort and enhance their ability to operate the lifting functions efficiently. The user may choose the optional joystick or minilever fingertip hydraulic controls.
Superior ergonomic features - such as a lowered step height, allows easier access and 20 percent more operator floor space - improve driver comfort and create a more productive work environment. Other advances include a smaller steering wheel with standard steer knob, a storage compartment and cup holder integrated into the dash in addition to an improved seat design for enhanced comfort while driving in reverse.
The H40-70FT Fortis(TM) line of lift trucks offers one of the industry's best serviceability and onboard diagnostics to maximize uptime and maintain peak performance. In addition, engine components are easier to access due to a one-piece hood and lift-out floor plates that require no tools for removal, and a cleaner and more accessible under-hood layout of wire and hydraulic hose routings.
